President Abdul Hamid on Monday expressed profound shock at the death of Shila Islam, wife of Public Administration Minister and Awami League presidium member Syed Ashraful Islam.
“In a condolence message, the President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members,” said President’s deputy press secretary M Abul Kalam Azad.
Shila had been suffering from fatal disease cancer for long. She breathed her last at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of University College London Hospital (UCLH) in UK where she was undergoing treatment.
