Sheikh Arif Bulbon :At the end of last year popular film actress Poppy’s acted a movie titled Char Akshor-er Bhalobasha, directed by Md Zakir Khan, was released after a break of three years. In this movie, popular actor Ferdous and promising model cum actor Nirob Khan acted against Poppy. Though Ferdous’ produced and acted movie Ek Cup Cha was released during the releasing time of Poppy’s Char Akshor-er Bhalobasha but the last one was commercially successful rather than previous one. Viewers showed their keen interests to watch Poppy’s acted movie after many days on the screen. In the beginning of New Year, Poppy wants to step forward with her acting career. She wants to work only in good story based movies if she gets good script she has keen interest to act either in telefilm or TV play also. But she will become selective this year, Poppy said.Poppy mentioned that she has also keen interest to work in movies of Kolkata. She told this correspondent over mobile phone yesterday while talking about her working plans in 2015. While sharing her feelings in this regard Poppy said, “This year I want to work in minimum two good story based movies where there will be variation in my roles. Therefore, if I would get good script of TV play or telefilm for the special days I will show my interest to perform. I also want to act in a movie of Kolkata because now big budget and good story based movies are being made there. Actors and actresses from our country are acting there. With everybody’s cooperation and pray I want to continue this year successfully.”Recently Poppy got BACHSHAS (Bangladesh Chalachitra Sangbadik Samity) Award for acting in Ahiduzzaman Diamond’s directed a movie titled Gangajatra. She got the award in category of Best Actress 2009. It may be mentioned that Poppy first got the National Film Award for Kalam Kaisar’s movie Karagar. Later she again got the award for Nargis Akhter’s film Megh-er Koley Rode.Meanwhile, Poppy acted in two plays in last Eid under the direction of Himel Ashraf and Belal Uddin Shuvo. Riaz and Apurbo acted against her in these plays.
