Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent :
A poor young man named Sagar Ali, built a bamboo bridge on a flood-damaged road in the village of Koidanga under Bhangura Upazila of Pabna district with his own initiative. It is learned that the soil of the road in front of the Koidanga Nadipara Durga Temple has recently collapsed in the river due to flood waters. This created a canal there. As a result, the villagers were travelling in this way wet and swimming.
Dilip Chandra Biswas, President of the Durga Temple, said Sagar Ali cut the bamboo of his own bush and built a bridge on Thursday after seeing the plight of the villagers. As a result, there is no need to swim anymore.
At the time of writing, it is learned that Sagar Ali has become a member candidate of Ward No. 4 from Koidanga village of Bhangura union of the upazila.
Sagar Ali said that every year during the flood season, the villagers, especially the men and women of the Hindu community, suffer on the road. So I have built the bridge on my own initiative.
