A tragic road mishap occurred in Sitakunda Ecopark area leaves one police member killed and another 8 policemen critically injured.
Sitakunda thana police sources said one microbus carrying policemen plunged into road side ditch in the hilly area of Ecopark losing speed control. The incident occurred at 8 pm on Saturday, sources said.
The killed police member Md. Mostafa(40) died on the spot and the identity of the injured yet to be traced till filing the report.
The injured police members immediately rushed to Chittagong Medical college Hospital immediately. Sources said after completing the duties of the policemen in Shiba Chaturdashi Mela in Sitakunda Chandranath Hill , they were returning to police station.
