Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Chittagong range, Mohammad Shafiqul Islam yesterday said police is scared of those militants who become untraced after getting out of the jails.
He said some militants become traceless after suffering punishment awarded by the court and again carryout militant activities.
“Police have more fear about those militants as they are getting involved in militancy now and then”, he said adding that police department is now keeping close surveillance on those militants so that they cannot involve themselves in militant activities again.
The DIG came up with the comment while addressing the meeting of Divisional Committee on Law and Order at city’s Circuit House on Monday noon.
