The common people will consider huge positive impacts of massive developments accomplished by the present government in the next elections.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration HN Ashiqur Rahman said this while addressing a discussion at Mithapukur Upazila Parisahd auditorium recently as the chief guest.
The District Information Office organised the discussion styled ‘Informing people about the government’s success, achievement, future development plans, Prime Minister (PM)’s 10 special initiatives, preventing terrorism and militancy’.
With Mithapukur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mamun-Ar-Rashid in the chair, vice-chairman of Rangpur unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and chief coordinator of ‘Labonno Prokalpo’ Rehana Ashikur Rahman addressed the event as the special guest.
President of Mithapukur Upazila Awami League (AL) Mozammel Haque Mintu Mian, its vice-presidents Principal Tozammel Hossain and Shah Md Mostafizur Rahman, its Organising Secretary Saidur Rahman Mandal and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Hirombo Kumar also spoke.
District Senior Information Officer Md Humayun Kobir delivered the welcome speech narrating background of arranging the programme, its goals and objectives.
He elaborately discussed the massive development programmes implemented by the present government in last 10 years in every sector of the society substantially cutting poverty and improving livelihoods and life standard of the common people.
The chief guest discussed incredible developments those have taken place in Mithapukur upazila as elsewhere across the country.
“Successful implementation of the PM’s ten special initiatives and other development programmes has improved socioeconomic condition, livelihoods and living standard of the common people,” Ashiqur said.
He called upon everyone to work sincerely from own position to build a
middle income nation by 2021 and a developing country by 2024 and attain the
sustainable development goals by 2030 on way to build a developed Bangladesh
by 2041.
