bdnews24.com :A man has died and seven others have been injured as a train hit a tempo at Gazipur’s Kaliakair level-crossing.Mouchak police official Md Saiful Islam said the accident took place around 10am on Friday.Jaidebpur railway junction assistant sub-inspector Md Dadan Mia said, “The accident occurred as there was no gate at the place.”He said, a Konabari-bound tempo went up tracks when the Khulna-bound Sundarban Express came hurtling down. Consequently, the train hit the tempo, leaving at least eight persons injured. They were rushed to the Gazipur Sadar Hospital where the doctors pronounced one of them dead.The hospital’s Dr Md Abdus Salam Sarkar told bdnews24.com: “An unidentified youth was brought into the hospital with severe head injuries around 12pm. He was hurt in the incident.”Among the injured three were identified. They are Jahurul Islam, Jinnat Ali and Kuddus Molla.
