Paris will host the 2020 European athletics championships, which will take place after the Tokyo Olympics, European Athletics confirmed on Friday.
The French capital had been the only remaining candidate after the Georgian city of Tbilisi withdrew last year.
It will be just the second time that Paris have hosted the continental championships after 1938. Paris hosted the world athletics championships in 2003 in Stade de France.
