The newly constructed ‘ Parbotto Chattogram Complex’ named after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Baily Road in Dhaka will be inaugurated on October 28 (Sunday).Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the complex featuring the traditions and heritages of the hill tracts areas, said an official release yesterday.
The project ‘Sheikh Hasina Parbotto Chattogram Complexes’ was taken under a mid-term budget which was passed in the at ECNEC meeting on February 9, 2016.
In the complex, a multi-purpose hall, a dormitory, a administration building, a museum, a library and residences for Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs (CHT) minister and Parbotto Chattogram Anchalik Parishad chairman have been constructed at a cost of Taka 194 crore.
The complex will play an important role in sharing culture and cooperation and building communal harmony between the people of the hill and plain areas, a sources of Chattogram Anchalik Parishad said.
