Hundreds of painting lovers thronged at a six-day group exhibition of 28 talented O and A -level students styled “Colours of Youth” and tasted the diversities of their mini-master pieces reflecting their sense of colours, expressions and display on the canvass at Dhaka Art Center gallery yeasterday.
The exhibition was opened at the gallery premises, R # 7A, H# 60, Dhanmondi, Dhaka 1205 here yesterday. Eminent artists Professor Syed Abdul Barq Alvi and Professor Shahid Kabir jointly inaugurated the exhibition while eminent sculptor Professor Hamiduzzaman Khan chaired the opening ceremony.
One of young artists, Maimuna Chowdhury Raya told BSS that they have come together with their mentor Farid Hossain Siddique to create the tempo of their own motion and they have moved forward giving expressions to lines, colours and forms. Rezina Wahid of Dhaka Art Center said, some of the works have an exuberance of colours where as others play with subtle shades. ” It’s always a delight to look into the art pieces of the talented young students whose eyes look into matter and their surroundings in a much,” said Kazi Shahnaz, who went round the exhibition. The exhibition is open every day from 3 pm to 8pm till February 5.
