Outgoing Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Bangladesh William Hanna made his farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday. During the meeting, the President expressed satisfaction over the excellent relationship between Bangladesh and the EU. William Hanna said he enjoyed his stay in Bangladesh.
Secretaries concerned to the President office were present. William Hanna, an Irish national, was appointed as the EU ambassador to Bangladesh in September 2010. He was the Head of Unit of Europe Aid and responsible for Centralised Operations for Asia and Central Asia.
Pierre Mayaudon will replace William Hanna as the new head of the European Union Delegation to Bangladesh.
