FFs' children plea: Oust families of war criminals from govt jobs

A forum of the children of freedom fighters is now demanding for ouster of all family members of the war criminals from public service and attachment of their properties.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command on Sunday demanded punishment for those who, it claimed, have disrespected the freedom fighters and their family during the recent quota reform movement.
It also asked for enactment of a Freedom Fighters’ Family Protection Law. It came up these demands at a arranged in front of the National Museum  
at Shahbagh. President of the organization, Mehedi Hasan, demanded the government to oust family members of the war criminals from public service and attach their all belongings and properties.
He also asked the government to punish the criminals who vandalized the residence of Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor and, according to him, who tried to spread agitation through social media as well as disrespected the freedom fighters.
The speakers of rally also alleged that many freedom fighters’ family members were getting threat via social media and they suspected that the opportunist, who oppose the ideology of Liberation War and Independence, are doing these. Selim Reza, the secretary of the organization and Al Mamun, the president of Dhaka University unit of the organisation, addressed the programme, among others. They announced their future programme schedules, which include: submission of memorandum and list of their demands to all Deputy Commissioners onApril 25, to Prime Minister on April 30, holding a press conference on May 8 and a rally in the city on June 9.
