Orientation of fresh DIIT students held

The orientation program of the fresh students of Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) held at DIU Auditorium on Tuesday. Dr Md. Abdul Hoque Talukdar, Chairman of Bangladesh Technical Education Board was present as the chief guest at the ceremony chaired by Mohammad Nuruzzaman, the Executive Director of DIIT. Rathindra Nath Das, Director of DIIT gave the welcome speech and closing speech was given by Md. Moazzem Hossain Rubel, Assistant academic Director of DIIT.
 Dr Talukder in his speech said that country’s development depends on the technical education. At present 5 per cent of the population educated by the technical education. For the faster development of the country within 2021, 20 per cent of the population should be educated by technical education.
Our government has been working on that goal from the previous five years. Technical education makes people self- employment easily. By learning technical education properly one can help the state to develop. He also said that this education system also help to earn foreign currency. Overall country’s development depends on technical education in many ways. He said that the main motto of technical education is to reduce poverty.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, advised the students to concentrate on their study to develop their skills. He hopes that information technology knowledge, which students gain from DIIT will help to develop the country.
 Rathindra Nath Das said about the professional area of DIIT and its history of success. He also described the importance of international standard technology and education.
