Jatiya Ganotantrik League
A discussion on ‘Leaking of Question Papers and Resistance’ organised jointly by Jatiya Ganotantrik League and Bangladesh Bam Front in the auditorium of Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad in the city’s Topkhana Road. In the programme held recently the speakers demanded to take strict steps to resist leakage of question papers for the advance ment of meritorious students and the country. The function was addresseed, among others, by the President of Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad Lion Gani Mia Babul, President of Joy Bangla Mancha Maulana Mufti Masum Billah Nafiyee and Chairman of Bangladesh Ganotantrik Mukti Andolon Ashraf Ali Hawlader. Chairman of Bangladesh Bam Front Dr MA Samad presided over the event.
Jagannath Hall Alumni Association
A discussion organised by Jagannath Hall Alumni Association was held at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium on Dhaka University campus commemorating the first death anniversary of former minister, veteran parliamentarian and Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta. Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu was present as the chief guest in the programme held on the twelfth instant. While speaking Amu said late Suranjit Sengupta upheld secular politics and the spirit of Liberation War throughout his life. He said that Suranjit had played a significant role in the country’s politics. Amu said Suranjit was able to explain very complex issues easily by his body language. Thefunction was also addressed, among others, by State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder, President of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) Mujahidul Islam Selim, President of Oikya Nap Pankaj Bhattacharya, Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad General Secretary Rana Dasgupta, President of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association Maksud Kamal and President of the association Pannalal Dutta.
