Leaders of Garments Workers Trade Union Center bitterly criticized the police attack on workers of Stitch Well and Apparel Stitch Garments in the city’s Tejgaon. The leaders of the organisation demanded immediate payment of arrear salaries of the workers of the factory. President and General Secretary of the organisation Advocate Mantu Ghosh and Joli Talukder respectively in a statement issued on the seventeenth instant demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in attacking workers of the factory and payment of the dues of the workers of the garment. Meanwhile leaders of the Garments Sramik Adhikar Andolon including Shahidul Islam Sabuj, Advocate Mahbubur Rahman Ismail, Shamim Imam, Raju Ahmed, Prokash Dutta and AAM Foez Hossain also condemned over the attack on the workers of Stitch Well and Apparel Stitch Garments. The leaders also demanded trial of the attackers immediately.
