A discussion on 9th death anniversary of veteran Awami League leader and former minister and one of the organizers of the Liberation War Abdus Samad Azad organized by Nouka Samarthak Goshthy, an organisation of supporters of Awami League’s polls symbol ‘boat’ was held at the auditorium of the Diploma Engineers Institution in the city’s Kakrail on Monday. Awami League Advisory Council member Suranjit Sengupta was present as the chief guest. Adviser of the organisation Chitta Ranjan Das presided over the discussion. It was also addressed, among others, by Dhaka City Awami League Joint General Secretary Haji Mohammad Selim, MP, Convener of Dhaka City unit Samyabadi Dal Haroon Chowdhury.
Assistant Secretary of AL Sub-committee Asaduzzaman Durjoy and Secretary General of Bangabandhu Academy Humayun Kabir Mizi.
In the discussion the speakers paid rich tributes to the veteran Awami League leader. They also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
