Noted film actor Syed Hasan Imam first time got the National Film Award for acting in late Subhash Dutta’s movie Bashundhara. Later he got the Ekushey Padak in 1999.
Recently within very short time his name has been announced for two times to get the national awards.
One is National Film Award 2014 in category of Lifetime Achievement Award and another one is the state’s highest honour – Swadhinata Padak (Independence Award).
Syed Hasan Imam will receive these two national awards from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina within short days. But specialty is that Syed Hasan Imam is the only person who got National Film Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Ekushey Padak and Swadhinata Padak. And in his lifetime he got these awards.
While sharing his feelings in this regard Hasan Imam told this correspondent, “Today I can remember two lines of Rabindranth Tagore – Tomar potaka jarey dao, tarey bohibarey dao shokti. Really I am thinking it; I can bear its honour. I am really grateful to my fans, well wishers, viewers, colleagues, people of the country, overall the government, my wife Laila Hasan. Everybody pray for us as we can remain well.”
After knowing the news of getting Independence Award three daughters of Hasan Imam – Sangeeta, Rumjhum and Swakkhor – are very much delighted.
Meanwhile, today Hasan Imam will start shooting of Shah Alam Mondal’s movie Shadakalo Prem. He gave his vocal for a playback song in the movie for the first time. Sabina Yasmin rendered the song with him in that playback song. Now his acted a movie titled Ek Prithibi Prem, directed by SA Haque Alik, is waiting to release. Within short days, he will start shooting of Sohel Arman’s a movie, Hasan Imam said. Syed Hasan Imam’s acted mentionable movies are: Lalon Fakir, Poriborton, Laal Sabujer Pala and Abichar. Hasan Imam’s a serial Grandmaster is being aired on Channel 9 now. His acted new serial is Zahid Hasan’s Raju 420.
