A youth was killed and another injured in a road accident in Hathazari upazila of the district yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rasel, 22, son of Aminul Islam, hailed from Natun Para area under Hathazari upazila of the district while the injured was Salauddin. Police said the accident occurred when a Chittagong-bound mini-bus collided head-on with a motor bike at Boro Dighir Par area around 11am, leaving the bike riders critically injured. The injured were brought to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where attending doctors declared Rasel dead, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Pankaj Barua of CMCH police outpost.
