Ataur Rahman Ata, a Freedom Fighter (FF), passed away at his Uttarbazar area resident in Kulaura Upazila town of Moulvibazar district at around 1.30pm on Thursday due to old ages illness. He was 80. He was former vice president of Upazila AL and former commander of Muktijudha Sangshad in Kulaura Upazila unit. He left behind his wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He was laid to rest with full state honour at Uttarbazar graveyard of the Upazila town on Saturday , family sources said. Upazila Chairman AKM Shafi Ahmed Solman, ATM Farhad Chowdhury, UNO of Kulaura Upazila and others condoled the death of Ata.
They conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
