Dr Hazi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman died of motorcycle accident in the city’s Palton intersection on Friday morning. He was 75.
He left behind wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He was buried at his family graveyard in Matlab Upazial of Chandpur on Friday night after Namaz-e-Janaza.
His Qulkhwani will be held at Shaheed Jame Moshjid at Bhajahari Saha Street in the city’s Narinda on Monday after Asr Prayers.
All the relatives and admirers of the deceased are requested to attend the Qulkhwani and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.

Birendro Bihari Bhowmik, father of Director General of Directorate of Information Communication and Technology Banamali Bhowmick, died of old-age complications on Friday at his residence in Moulvibazar. He was 86.
He was cremated at Moulvibazar crematorium on Friday night.
He passed his matriculation from Moulvibazar Government School under Calcutta University in 1946. He served successfully in his long teaching profession.
