Halima Khatun, mother-in-law of Advocate Tahmina Sultana, Women Affairs Secretary of Dhaka South City Awami League, died at the United Hospitalin the city on Thursday morning. She was 95.
Halima, also wife of late Abul Hussain, ex-chief engineer of Bangladesh Railway, had been suffering from old-age complications for long.
She left behind six sons, three daughters, grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
She was buried at Banani Graveyard after namaz-e-janaza on Thursday.
A huge number of people including leaders of Dhaka South City AL and councillors of Dhaka South City Corporation and relatives of the deceased attended the janaza.
