The first ever convocation of National University (NU) will be held today (Tuesday) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The ceremony will start at 3:00 pm.
President Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of NU, is expected to be present as the chief guest at the ceremony.
NU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Harun-or-Rashid will preside over at the convocation.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan will also remam present at the convocation ceremony.
A total of 4932 graduates will be conferred certificates who completed honours and masters degree from different institutions across the country under the university between 1998 and 2012.
Of them, eight students will be given gold medals for their brilliant results.
It may be mentioned that the National University was established in 1992, but no convocation is yet to hold.
