The National Sports Council (NSC) will hold an anti terrorism and militancy rally today (Wednesday) in the city with a view to transmit the message of peace, tolerance and friendship in the society, said a NSC press release.
The rally will begin at 11 am at Bangabandhu National Stadium and terminate at National Press Club after passing through Zero point.
To make the rally a success, rally management committee organised an emergency meeting at the NSC presided by its treasurer Badal Roy.
NSC director (admin) M Golam Robbani, Bangladesh Olympic Association Deputy Secretary General Ashikur Rahman Miku, Bangladesh Handball Federation general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Bangabandhu Stadium administrator M Yahia, NSC deputy director (Dhaka) Abul Hossain Hawlader, NSC deputy director (Sylhet) M Roshidurzzaman Serniyat and NSC public relation officer Arif Sohel were present on the occasion.
All have been requested to present in the rally in time.
Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association and Bangladesh Sports Press Association and other sports bodies will also express their solidarity with NSC to make the rally a success.
