A noted social worker, Former Mayor of Kishoreganj Municipality ,Vice -President of District Awami league and donor of many school, college, mosque and madrashas Al-hajj Mazharul Islam Bhuiyan Kanchan (Kanchan Bhuiyan) died while undergoing treatment at Ever Care (Appalo Hospital) in the Capital Friday midnight. He was 69.
He left his one son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death. His namaz-e-janaza was held at local Azimuddin High School playground Saturday afternoon.
