Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said home-bound Eid passengers on the river routes and roads would not face any problem to go to their destination due to different measures taken by the government.
“Incidence of river accidents reduced to a large extent because of firm steps taken by the government,” the minister said this on Thursday while speaking at a view exchange meeting with the party leaders and supporters at the circuit house in Jhalokati as the chief guest.
Shajahan Khan also said his ministry is working to make safe and smooth journey of home-bound Eid passengers on the river routes.
President of the Zila Awami League Sarder M Saha Alam presided over the meeting. General Secratery of the Zila AL Khan Saifullah and organising secratery Tarun Karmoker were present, among others.
