Afsana passed away around 9:00am on Friday morning after she had been kept on life support at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital since Sunday.
Afsana suffered a brain stroke after the news of her husband’s death spread and admitted to hospital.
A total of 51 people including Bangladeshi pilot Abid Sultan and all four cabin crew members were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed while landing at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal on March 12. Twenty-six Bangladeshis were among the dead while 10 Bangladeshis survived the crash.
