The country’s lowest temperature so far this year was recorded 5.7 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Panchagarh on Thursday morning, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the northern part of the country and it may rise slightly elsewhere and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.
On Wednesday, 6.2 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Tetulia, the last border town in Bangladesh’s north, while it dropped to 5.7 degree Celsius on Thursday.
However, the highest temperature 25 degree Celsius was recorded yesterday in Chattogram.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am yesterday, said a Met office bulletin.
Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Dhaka divisions.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till morning.
Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Nogaon and Sirajganj and it may continue, the bulletin said.
