Teachers, students’ recruitment of TBCM held in Bogra

The annual superior teachers and students’ recruitment of Temple- based Child and Mass Education was held at Bogra DC’s conference room on Sunday. The recruitment programme was headed by Assistant Commissioner Shimul Kurar Saha while a four- members formed recruitment committee assistant professor of government Azizul Haque collage in the department of Bangla Deb Dulal, Assistant Commissioner Nazrul Islam, Assistant Director of Temple -based Child and Mass Education Programme Pritilota Adikari as well as field supervisor Emdadul Haque were present here in the programme from 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM. A total 10 teachers out of 117 and 20 students out of 3510 from Bogra as well as Joypurhat district had appeared at the superior recruitment.
Two held with 13 bombs, gun in Jhenidah

Jhenidah RAB recovered 13 fresh bombs, a shutter gun, one round bullet and seven billhooks in different drives in Jhenidah on Sunday. RAB recovered a shut gun, one round bullet, and nine fresh bombs and arrested Tokon Hossian from Khajura village of the district town. Tokon is the son of Abdul Goni of Khajura village of Sadar upazila. Earlier, on Saturday evening RAB in separate drive have recovered four fresh bombs and seven billhooks and arrested a terrorist Mithu Biswas. Mithu Biswas, 36 is the son of Shamser Biswas of Porahati village of sadar upazila. Jhenidah RAB commander squadron leader Neaj Mohammad Faisal said, on secret information they launched a drive at Khajura village and arrested Tokon Hossain with bombs and arms. They are the accused of creating anarchy and terrorism, the Commander added.
Arms , ammo recovered in Chapainawabganj

Police of Chapainawabganj Sadar police station recovered two pistols, 17 rounds of bullet and two magazines and arrested one person Jorgachi and Sundarban Courier Service under Chapainawabganj municipality on Saturday night and Sunday noon. The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Rubel, 25, son of Monirul Islam of Jorgachi village under Chapainawabganj municipality. Officer in charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj sadar thana Jasim Uddin said, acting on secret information police raided Jorgachi square on Saturday at around 11 pm and held Rubel with a pistol and one round of bullet. A case was recorded with the police station on Sunday under arms act. Again on Sunday noon, police recovered a pistol, 16 rounds of bullet and two magazines from Sundarban Courier Service in the town. The OC said, one person came to Sundarban Courier Service to book a basket of plum at noon. As the employees of the courier service wanted to check the basket as per their provision, the man fled away leaving the basket. After searching the basket they found the aforesaid arms and ammunition and informed the police of Chapainawabganj sadar thana of this. Being informed police went to the courier service and recovered the arms and ammunition at around 12-45 pm.
Saraswati Puja celebrated at Tibbia College

The students of Hindu community of Tibbia College celebrated Saraswati Puja, the worship to the Devi Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, on the campuses yesterday. On the occasion Hindu devotees of Tibbia College set up several mandaps, which every year turn into the main attraction of the celebrations. Principle of the Tibbia College Dr. Mashukur Rahamn along with administrative personalities visited the puja mandaps including different residential dormitories and greeted the students of Hindu community. The chief guest said ‘We should convey the messages of goddess Saraswati to enlighten and develop our country and for the sake of communal affection’.
