SAG celebrates Eid thru’ various programme in Dupchanchia

 Students Association of Gunaher, a student welfare non-political organisation, (SAG) has celebrated the Eid-ul-Azha through various programme under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district. An awareness function entitled Early Marriage was also arranged here participating hundreds adolescents and women in Taluch O H K High school premises marking the Eid. A mime action was displayed to speed joy before the audience by Emran Hossain who participates in International mime action completion at Dhaka University recently and secretary of the SAG. The SAG was set up in the upazila with the participation of glorious students of Differnt University including Dhaka University, and BUET aiming to assist the common student theses who are interest to admit different renowned educational institutions elsewhere the country last June 2017. Having established it, the members of the SAG are working for betterment of students. Prize giving ceremony was held among the winners of quizze completion at Taluch O H K High school premise presided over Mamhbubur Rhman former students BUET while function executive of RTV Aranno Pasha speaking as chief guest how to develop on study. Upazila Correspondent of The Daily New Nation Emdadul Haque and assistance teacher spoke in the function as special playing skilled development and betterment of high education.

2 killed in Bagerhat road mishap

An easy bike (auto rickshaw) driver was killed on the spot and 3 passengers were injured, one seriously when his bike was dashed by a truck on Khulna-Mongla Highway near at Sagor filling station under Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district on Monday. The deceased easy bike driver was identified as Kamrul Shaikh (27), son of one Belayet Shaikh of village Gangni under the same Upazila. K M Azizul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway PS said that on the day deceased driver Kamrul was going to Mollahat from his village by his easy bike along with 3 passengers and when he reached the place of occurrence (Sagar filling station point) he tried to drive his vehicle towards Khulna-Mongla Highway from a local road it (easy bike) was dashed violently by a vegetable loaded speeding truck and the accident took place. As a result, driver (Kamrul Shaikh) was killed on the spot and the passengers were injured, one seriously. Seriously injured passenger was admitted to Khulna medical College Hospital while the 2 others were admitted to Mollahat Upazila Health Complex for their treatment. Another report states that motor cyclist Miraz Shikdar (30) who was a police constable met his tragic end and his friend Rasel Shaikh (30) was injured when their motor cycle collided with a road side tree on Kachua-Gazalia Road at Khalisakhali under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district on Saturday at night (9 pm). Injured Rasel Shaikh was admitted to Kachua Upazila Health Complex for his treatment.

AL factions group clash leaves 30 hurt in Jhenaidah village

At least 30 persons were injured in a fierce factional clash between two groups of ruling Awami League in a Jhenaidah village on Sunday morning. One of the injured was referred to Faridpur medical college hospital in a critical state. Jhenaidah Sadar police station officer in charge Amdadul Haque Shaikh said, a conflict was prevailing between ruling party leader and incumbent chairman of Fursundi union parishad Abdul Malek and ex chairman, also AL leader Shaid Shikder following domination in the area for past couple of years.Both the groups appeared in the clash following the enmity at about 10 AM at Somoshpur village of Jhenaidah Sadar upazila left 30 persons injured in both groups. Of the injured, 28 were rushed to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital.
