The bi-annual election of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Press Club was held on Sunday at its office.
Faridul Islam (the daily Khaborpotra / ppbd.news) President and Jasim Uddin (The New Nation / The daily Janata ) were elected by the direct vote of the members.
Senior Vice President. Abdul Aziz(newschannel52) , Vice-President. Abdul Aziz Rubel (The Daily Aibangla), Deputy General Secretary Abu Jafar (the daily Bartaman Khatha), Organising Secretary. Arifur Rahman Khan (The daily Nabochatana), Co-organiser. Rokunuzzaman Khan (Jogfal.com ), Office Secretary Ayub Khan ( the daily Sodas Pratidin), Publicity Secretary Milon Sheikh (The Daily Muktabalaka), Legal Affairs Manik Mia (Ajker Dinbadol.com ), Religion Secretary Mosleh Uddin Khan Babul (weekly Al-Minar), Sports Secretary Ratan Hossain (The daily Bangojononi) and Ibrahim Sarkar (The daily Amar Samoy) has been elected as the executive member.
Chief Election Commissioner Shahan Sahabuddin announced the election results in the presence of Alauddin, the club’s chief adviser. Assistant Election Commissioners Kamruzzaman and Tanjul Islam were present.
