Noted film and drama director Animesh Aich is making a new drama serial titled Ekhane Keu Thakena for Bangladesh Television. Animesh has also written script of this 52-episode serial which shooting started at the end of last week of February at Jongol Bari Resort (former Mohua Cottage) at Jolchhotro in Madhupur of Tangail. After staying there for 20 days
at a time for shooting, director Animesh along with full unit returned to Dhaka on March 17. Animesh also informed that the serial is expected to telecast on BTV after Eid-ul-Fitr. While talking about main theme of the story of the serial director Animesh said, “Basically Ekhane Keu Thakena is based on a popular folk story.
It is a story of faith and mistrust. Ghost
is such a matter. Who believes in ghost
it remains while who does not believe, it remains not. Story of the serial continues through this belief. Shooting of first lodge of the serial has been finished. Shooting
of second lodge will kick off soon. It will take one month to complete editing.”
National Film Award winning actor Shahiduzzaman Selim is very much delighted to work in this serial because he worked a large number of actors in the shooting spots. Besides Selim, Mamunur Rashid, Aruna Biswas, Faruk Ahmed, Rosey Selim, Bijori Barkatullah, Intekhab Dinar, Zitu Ahsan, Shahed Ali, Rawnak Hasan, Jenny, Bhabna, Neelanjona Neela, among others, are acting in different
roles in the serial. Basically after taking part in shooting of first phase of the
serial, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Bijori Barkatullah, Jenny, Intekhab Dinar and Bhabna are very much delighted.
Selim said, “To take part in shooting of this serial, I could get the scope to meet my colleagues after a year. In fact, I took part in the shooting joyfully.”
Under Animesh Aich’s direction, Bhabna acted in several projects including movie Bhoyonkor Sundor. But she is excited to work in this serial. While sharing her feelings in this regard Bhabna said, “First of all, script of Ekhane Keu Thakena is nice. The actors who are acting in this serial everybody is talented. Sometimes it is
happened that despite having good script there is little bit scope to cast a large number of talented actors in a work.
But it is not happened in case of serial Ekhane Keu Thakena. I am very much
optimistic about my role in the serial.”
