The new body of Rangamati Lawyers’ Association was formed. In this connection, an election was held at district Bar Association office on Monday.
Senior lawyer of district Judge Court Adv Protim Roy Pampu was elected president while Adv Toshan Kanti Chakma was elected general secretary.
The other office-bearers are: Adv Bhobotosh Dewan and Adv Subrato Hawlader (vice presidents), Adv Saiful Islam Ponie (assistant secretary), Adv Abdul Gaffer Munna (treasurer), and Adv Maksuda Begum (cultural secretary). The members elected are: Adv Uzzal Tanchanga, Adv Wahed, Adv Sree Gaini Chakma, Adv Shahidul Islam, and Adv Nurul Absar.
Total 42 voters out of 55 cast their votes. Adv Mamunur Rashid was the Chief Election Commissioner.
