Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Krira Shikka Prothistan (BKSP) recorded impressive wins in the inaugural matchers of the Victory Day Hockey competition held on Monday at Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
In the two matches of opening day’s fixtures, Bangladesh Navy were in aggressive mood as they plundered Bangladesh Police by 13-1 goals after dominating the first half by 5-0 goals, while Bangladesh Krira Shikka Prothistan drubbed Chandgaon Sporting Club of Chittagong by a flattering margin of 11-0 after leading the first half by 4-0 goals.
A total of six teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the competition. The participating teams in Group A are Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Police. The teams in Group B are Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan, Bangladesh Air Force and Chandgaon Sporting Club of Chittagong.
Tuesday’s matches: Bangladesh Army vs Bangladesh Police (1 pm) Bangladesh Air Force vs Chandgaon Sporting Club, Chittagong (3pm).
