The 61-team first phase of Sailor-BFF Under-15 National Football Championship begins in eight zonal venues across the country on June 27.
The Logo of the tournament was unveiled and jersey of the partipating teams were handed over on Monday at a function at the BFF conference room in the afternoon.
The tournment was earlier scheduled to start on June 25, but deferred by two days as per the appeal of the participating teams.
Sixty one district teams (excluding Bhola, Bogra and Jhalakati), split into eight zones, will compete in first phase on knock out basis.
Eight zonal venues are: Tangail, Gopalganj, Jessore, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Chaudanga, Chandpur and Thakurgaon.
BFF Vice President of Chairman of the Development Committee Badal Roy disclosed these at a press conference, arragned on the occasion of logo unveiling and jersey distribution ceremony on Monday.
Director of the tournament’s sponsor Epillion Group Junaid Abu Saleh Musa, Deputy Chairman of Deveopoment Committee Fazlur Rahman Babul, tournament secreteray Satyajit Das Rupu, BFF general secretary Abul Nayeem Shohag and also spoke at the function.
Star footballer of yesteryear defender Kaiser Hamid, goalkeeper Mohammad Mohsin, Hasanuzzaman Bablu, Satyajit Das Rupu, Jashimuddin Joshi, national captain Mamunul Islam Mamun, forward Enamul Haque and Shahedul Alam unveiled the logo and distributed the 16-colour jersey among the participating teams.
During the first phase, BFF coaches will pick-up some U-15 players by trail to form Bangladesh teams for SAFF U-15 and AFC U-15 Championships.
