The Marcel Refrigerator 2nd National School & College Bashap Championship starts tomorrow at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council.
Bangladesh Bashap Association will arrange the three-day long martial art competition.
RB Group is the title sponsor of the meet while ATN Bangla is the media partner.
A total of 105 karatekas from 22 schools and colleges will take part in the team’s events and individual events.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 4,28,000 while RB Group the sponsor of the meet has given Tk 2,00,000 to the Association and the Association will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
To mark the forthcoming karate meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Bashap Association Khaled Mansur Chowdhury, Secretary of National Sports Council (NSC) Shivnath Roy, Director (Administration) of NSC Abdur Rahim Bhuiyan and First Senior Assistant Director (Marketing) of Marcel Md Robiul Hasan Sumon were present at the conference.
The winners will be awarded trophy and medal respectively. Besides, Marcel will give home appliance to the top four karatekas.
