Nasir Uddin Ahmed has joined as acting Information Secretary of the Information Ministry, said an official press release on Sunday.
In this regard, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on December 31.
Nasir Uddin Ahmed, an officer of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) 1984 batch, served in various important posts at different ministries and departments of the government with honesty and integrity. Prior to this post, he served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Information.
Besides, Nasir Uddin served in different posts like Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary at different ministries including Land, Public Administration, Finance, Youth and Sports and Health. He obtained post-graduation degree in Management from Dhaka University (DU) in 1981 and MBA degree from Stamford University in 2008. Born in 1960 in a respected Muslim family of Pirojpur district, Nasir Uddin visited different countries including South Korea, Sri Lanka, Italy and Singapore.
