Comilla Victorians posted a narrow 10-run win over Dhaka Dynamites in their Twenty20 cricket match of the 3rd Bangladesh Premier League at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Wednesday.
Batting first Comilla Victorians made 141 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then they restricted Dhaka Dynamites to 131 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
 Comilla Victorians could able to build only one notable partnership. Ashar Zaidi and Shuvagata Hom put on together 45 runs in the seventh wicket stand before Shuvagata Hom was caught by Shadman Islam off Farhad Reza when Comilla’s total was 133 for the loss of seven wickets.
Ashar Zaidi remained unbeaten with 45. His 29-ball splendid innings was decorated with three sixes and two fours.
Earlier, opener Liton Das hit 31 from 34 balls featuring two fours before he was caught by was caught by Ryan ten Doeschate off Mosharraf Hossain when Comilla’s score was 70 for the loss of five wickets.
Shuvagata Hom hit a respectable 21 from 11 balls including three fours.
Ahmed Shehzad (9), the other opener of Comilla Victorians was caught behind by wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara off Farhad Reza when Comilla’s total was 18 for the loss of one wicket.
Imrul Kayes (7) was trapped leg before wicket by Mustafizur Rahman when Comilla’s score was 30 for the loss of two wickets.
Then spinner Yasir Shah dismissed Shoaib Malik for eight runs and removed Mashrafe Bin Mortaza for just two runs.
Alok Kapali (10) was stumped out by Kumar Sangakkara off Nasir Hossain when Comilla’s score was 88 for the loss of six wickets.
Yasir Shah and Farhad Reza begged a pair of wickets each instead of 26 runs each while Mosharraf Hossain, Nasir Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket each for three, 19 and 33 runs respectively.
Dhaka Dynamites failed to make any notable partnership. Nasir Hossain hit the team’s highest of 32. He hit two sixes in his 30-ball innings before he was caught at the cover by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza off Abu Haider when Dhaka’s total was 99 for the loss of four wickets.
Kumar Sangakkara was the other batsman of Dhaka Dynamites who shone with the willow making 30. He shot four fours in his 27-ball knock before he was run out by Liton Das when Dhaka’s score was 71 for the loss of three wickets.
Later, the other batsman of Dhaka failed to score any notable score. Thus, Dhaka tasted a slim defeat by their counterpart.
Abu Haider of Comilla Victorians captured two wickets at the cost of 30 runs while Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Shuvagata Hom took one wicket each for 18 and 24 runs respectively.
