Finance Minister AMA Muhith met Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Kazakhstan at his office at Astana in Kazakhstan on Sunday.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the ongoing 47th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB, they discussed the matters of mutual interest to improve the existing good relations between Bangladesh and Kazakhstan in the fields of economic cooperation, political understanding and trade.
Muhith formally handed over a letter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed to the Kazakh Prime Minister inviting him to visit Bangladesh, according to a release of the Finance Ministry.
Kazakh Vice Minister for Finance Ruslan Dalenov and Ambassador of Bangladesh Mosud Mannan were present at the meeting.
Earlier on April 29, the Finance Minister left for Kazakhstan to attend the 47th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
