A suspected mugger was killed and another injured in a mob beating in Basupara area of the city early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Foyzul Islam, 28, while the injured is Al Mamun.Officer-in-charge of Sonadanga Model Police Station Maruf Hossain said locals caught the duo while mugging in Basupara area in the early hours.
Later, the angry mob gave them a good beating, leaving them seriously injured.
Rescued, they were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where Foyzul succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
