UNB, Gaibandha :
Manjurul Islam Liton, Awami League MP from Gaibandha-1 constituency, filed petitions with a court here on Wednesday, seeking bail in two cases-one for shooting a minor boy and
another for vandalising and looting a house. Advocate Sirajul Islam, lawyer for the lawmaker, submitted the petitions with the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in the morning.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate fixed October 25 for hearing the pleas.
Earlier on October 14, detectives arrested MP Liton from the city’s Uttara area in connection with the two cases. On October 15, following his arrest Liton was taken to Gaibandha.
