A discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil was held at Karnaphuli Gas Co. Ltd. (KGDCL) yesterday. Managing Director of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Co. Ltd(KGDCL) M,A,K, Chowdhury was present as Chief Guest in the National Mourning Day discussion and doa Mahfil .
Convener of National Mourning Day Observance Committee Engineer Samsur Rahman Khan presided over the meeting. The chief guest recalled the contribution of the greatest Bangalee Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members who was brutally killed by a group of disgruntled army persons on August 15, 1975.
The chief guest also told that the killers were able to kill Bangabandhu but they could not kill his dreams and ideals. Among others were present in the meeting, Engineer Mohammad Shohid Ali, Generral Manager, Engineer Dhorjoti Prosad Dey (GM Planning & Dev.) Mr. Shiris Shaha (GM Finance & AC) Engineer Sudhir Kumar Shaha Ray (GM Marketing) President of officers Association Engineer Anisuddin Ahmed, president & General Secretary of workers Association Forid Ahmed and Mohd. Aslam and other official officers and staff of the company were also present in the discussion meeting.
