A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dhaka University (DU) and Globe Biotech Ltd. was signed on Monday to foster collaborative research between these two institutions.
The university has taken a plan to collaborate with different industries and stockholders for increasing its academic and research activities and it has already signed several MoU with industries and stockholders.
DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Chairman of Globe Biotech Ltd. Md. Harunur Rashid signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.
Dhaka University and Globe Biotech Ltd. will jointly work for innovation of various vaccines and medicines. These two institutions will also jointly conduct advanced level research in this regard, According to the MoU.
Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of DU Prof.Dr.Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Secretary of Dhaka University Teachers Association Prof Dr. Md. Nizamul Hoque Buiyan, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, Chairmen of different departments under the Faculty of Pharmacy and some other researchers from Globe Biotech Ltd. were present on this occasion.
