A Mothers’ gathering was organised at Gazipur Sadar Upazila, Pirujali Union with pregnant women at Pirujali Union Health and Family Welfare Center premises on Wednesday morning.
The meeting was jointly organized by Upazila Administration and Upazila Family Planning Department . Gazipur-3 MP and Gazipur District Awami League General Secretary Muhammad Iqbal Hossain Sabuj was present as the Chief Guest at the function and UNO SM Sadiq Tanvir presided over the programme.
Special guests of the function were -Deputy Director of District Family Planning Department Laju Shamsad Haque, Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Advocate Reena Parveen, Vice-Chairman Riaz Uddin Riaz, Assistant Director of Health and Family Planning Department Fauzia Asmat and Chairman of Pirujali Union Parishad Saifullah Sarkar Monju and others.
Sadar Upazila Family Planning Officer Abdur Razzak conducted the programme. At the end of the rally, the Union Health and Family Welfare Center announced to provide services three days a week at the initial stage, including free registration, to ensure the health care of the pregnant mothers. Later, he handed over greeting gifts to each pregnant mother.
