Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossen left here on Saturday for a four-day official visit to Jordan.
The minister will lead a five-member high profile delegation during talks with Jordan government.
During the visit, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed between the two countries on the export of Bangladeshi workers to Jordan.
The overseas employment minister also would hold meetings with the labour minister and concerned high officials of Jordan.
The minister will discuss increasing facilities including the protection of right and interest of the Bangladeshi workers along with more employment of Bangladeshi workers in different sector of Jordan.
The minister will attend view exchange meetings with the expatriate Bangladeshi workers and the Bangladeshi community living in Jordan.
The delegation includes secretary of the Expatriates Welfare Ministry Dr Khondoker Shawkat Hossen, director general of Bureau of Manpower Export and Training (BMET) Begum Shamsunnahar, joint secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam and minister’s personal secretary Mohammad Ibrahim.
