Eminent businessman and Industrialist Morshed Alam, MP, has been elected as Chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited in the 345th Board meeting of the Bank on Thursday.
He is the Sponsor Director of the Bank and the Founder Chairman of ‘Bengal Group of Industries’. He is also chairman of Private Satellite channel RTV and National Life Insurance.
Besides these, he is involved in financial services like export oriented textile and Apparel industry, real estate and construction materials, hotel and resorts and many other businesses in the country.
He has been elected Member of Parliament from Noakhali-2 (Senbag-Sonaimuri) for 10th & 11th national parliament elections.
