A month-long group art exhibition titled ‘Soft Reflections’ of 30 contemporary artists began here on new Gallery Cosmos premises at Mozzaria-SIAM, 101 Gulshan Avenue in the city.
Sophie Aubert, the French ambassador to Bangladesh, inaugurated the show as the chief guest on Friday evening while eminent artists Samarjit Roy Chowdhury and Biren Shome were present as special guests. Cosmos Group Managing Director Enayetullah Khan moderated the inauguration programme while Managing Director of Gallery Cosmos Tehmina Enayet was present.
The art exhibition is based on the outcomes of an experimental watercolour art camp titled ‘Experimenting with Soft Reflections’ that was organised by Gallery Cosmos from 13-15 March, 2015 at Cosmos Centre. Celebrated artist Biren Shome conducted the art camp. In the exhibition, a total of 55 watercolour works by 24 artists from the workshop and six renowned guest artists have been put on display. Most of the watercolours are representing the beautiful landscapes of Bangladesh.
