Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited edged past Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra (KC) by a solitary goal in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Mohammedan’s Burkina Faso defender Mounzir Coulidiati scored the all-important goal by a header using Habibur Rahman Sohag’s corner in the 38th minute of the play.
Mohammedan Sporting Club took the fourth position in the points table bagging 28 points from 15 matches, while Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra are breathing on Mohammedan’s neck earning 26 points from as many matches. Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra stood the fifth position of the points table.
The first leg match of the BPL Football between Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited ended in a 1-1 draw at the same venue.
