MKWF provides free oxygen to Covid patients

Mostafa Hakim Welfare Foundation (MKWF) will provide free oxygen cylinders to patients suffering from shortness of breath in Corona.
The service company has started this humanitarian activity with about 500 bottles of oxygen. Under the initiative of Former city Mayor Manzur Alam, the volunteers of the foundation are delivering oxygen cylinders to 41 wards and different hospitals of the city on motorcycles.Besides, free oxygen service is being run through 15 delegates from April 14 to alleviate the suffering of respiratory patients in different upazilas of the district and a central oxygen system has been set up at Sitakunda Upazila Health Complex.
On the other hand, arrangements have been made to distribute oxygen through Gauchia Committee and Al Manahil. There is also an opportunity to return the empty cylinder after using oxygen and refill if necessary to get a new bottle.
Founder and executive director of the foundation Manzoor Alam said, “We have taken initiative to provide oxygen so that no patient suffering from corona dies of shortness of breath.” And this oxygen facility will be given completely free of cost. When the corona outbreak started in March 2020, 200 oxygen cylinders were brought from outside the country on an emergency basis. Then through the representatives we distributed free oxygen cylinders in 41 wards of the city, different hospitals and different upazilas. At present we are carrying out the service activities through 15 delegates with 300 more bottles besides the last 200 bottles.
