The members of Bangladesh Navy on Friday morning recovered the body of a youth, who went missing from the sea beach here 3 days ago, from Sonadia Char in Maheskhali upazila.
The deceased was identified as Sudipta Dey, 17, son of Shital Chandra Dey. Sudipta passed this year’s SSC examination from a BGB Pilkhana School in Dhaka.
Additional superintendent of Cox’s Bazar tourist police Fazle Rabby said locals spotted the body around 11 am at Sonadia Char while Navy men recovered it and later handed it over to the victim’s family members.
