Missing minor found dead, two held

 Missing minor boy was found dead after seven days in a septic tank at home at Ghona village in Matlab Dakhshin Upazila on Monday.
His own uncle allegedly killed him for failure to get ransom money-suspect OC Matlab South Thana and others . The deceased boy was identified as Mohammad Mahib 7 , a class one student of local pry school and son of Masud Rana, working abroad and Shahina Akter -a primary school teacher at Ghona village in Nayergaon union of Matlab South Upazila..
On getting information, Matlab South Thana Police team led by SI Ruhul Amin recovered the bloated body of the deceased boy from inside the septic tank at his home early Monday at Ghona village under Matlab South Upazila and sent the same to Chandpur General Hospital for autopsy.
Contacted, OC Matlab South Thana A K MS Iqbal told this correspondent that Mahib suddenly went missing since 3 December and regarding this matter, uncle Jamal Hossain,50, a trader in the locality, filed a General Diary with Thana following this. It is presumed that the uncle himself allegedly kept the small boy captived secretly somewhere and wanted to realize a fat amount of money from his parents as ransom to trace and get back the missing boy Mahib but to no effect. Then the minor boy was killed for no fault of his own and the body was dumped into a septic tank at the same home. Seeing his shoes near the septic tank , locals suspected the location of the missing boy. On getting information, Sub Inspector Ruhul Amin rushed to the spot and after frantic search, located and recovered the body at 2.30 am. Police arrested Mahib’s own uncle Jamal Hossain ,,50, and the neighbour Shojib, 35, as suspects for killing the boy Mahib. A case was filed in this connection. Assistant Police Super Rajan Kumar Das along with OC visited the spot. Mahib’s mother demanded of them to punish the uncle for having killed her innocent small son for no fault of his own..
